What to Expect

What to Expect at Perron Chiropractic

If you've ever gone to a social event where you didn't know anyone, you know how uncomfortable that can make you feel.  Our goal at Perron Chiropractic is to eliminate every shred of apprehension and make you feel at home.

Since chiropractic care typically involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it's important that our relationship can go the distance.  We've found that one of the best ways to have successful patient relationships is to explain everything in advance.  No surprises!

The more you understand who we are, what we do, and why we do it, the more comfortable and knowledgeable you'll feel, and the better results you'll enjoy.  It's as simple as that.

Phase 1: Relief Care

If you are in pain when you come into our office, our first objective is to help you reduce pain and start feeling better as soon as possible. Depending on the severity of the underlying condition which is causing your pain, it is typical for a patient to need chiropractic care or adjustments 2-3 times per week for 4-12 weeks.

Phase 2: Corrective/Restorative Care

During the corrective phase of chiropractic care, muscles and other tissues are allowed to heal more completely with the addition of a personalized exercise plan. The goal of corrective or restorative chiropractic care is to help bring your body back to 100% functioning, which is key to staying well! It is typical to need chiropractic care or adjustments about 1-4 times per month for 6-24 months, depending on your overall health and the severity of your problem.

Phase 3: Wellness Care

Once your body has fully healed and you are no longer experiencing back pain or other symptoms, it is important to come in for periodic chiropractic adjustments to avoid further problems in the future. Most of problems we address are a result of the cumulative stress on our bodies from just daily activities. It has been shown to be much healthier to correct a few recent problems periodically versus allowing them to build into something bigger and become a project.  It is similar to getting a periodic cleaning at the dentist vs just waiting until it hurts and likely face much larger problems.  Usually, this phase of chiropractic care only requires a quick visit to the chiropractor 1-4 times per month, based on your lifestyle and goals.
