Meet Dr. Perron
I was introduced to chiropractic while in college and exploring career paths. My mother had taken an office manager position with a couple of chiropractors while I was away at school, my freshman year, and I came home in the summer to find that this new found form of healthcare had taken over my family. I was examined myself and treated within a short period of time for old whiplash injuries and could not help but be caught up in the enthusiasm that surrounded this office. I had spent my freshman year as an electrical engineer major and knew that it was not quite the right fit. Engineering did not appear to have enough people interaction for my taste. It seemed that chiropractic offered the perfect blend of an engineering thought process, with regard to the structure and function of the human body, and helping people!
I decided that summer to change course in my studies and focus on pre-chiropractic classes. Eventually I went on to graduate school at Life University’s College of Chiropractic in Marietta, GA. Although I enjoyed my time, it went by in a blink. It is amazing how time does fly when you find a passion and you truly enjoy what you do. Over 20 years later, my appreciation for chiropractic has only continued to grow. I have the privilege of helping people rid themselves of needless suffering on a daily basis. It is truly a miracle to see how resilient our bodies can be when given a chance.
My belief is that our bodies are affected by many different things in our life: physical, chemical and emotional stress; and these stressors have an effect on the ability of the body to adapt. The nervous system controls and coordinates the function of every single action in our bodies. When there is interference in your nervous system these functions are altered and, over time, this can result in many different symptoms.
The puzzle that we must solve lays in determining the degree and the intensity with which this nerve stress has affected your body. In our office we use a combination of technique, technology and touch to determine how we can best help. Our belief is that the more we can give back to our community the better our community will be.
